OUR HISTORY

At Hotel Diamant, we believe that traveling is much more than discovering a new destination: it's also about connecting with its essence and traditions. That's why, since our inception, we've wanted every guest who visits us in Cala Ratjada to feel not only the hospitality of a family hotel, but also the warmth and authenticity of Mallorca.

OUR HISTORY

Our project began in 1971, when the first hotel block was built. Years later, in 1988, the apartments arrived, and in 2010, the two companies merged under the same name: Diamant Hotel & Aparthotel, always maintaining the family spirit that characterizes us.

PROUD OF OUR ROOTS

Our connection to tradition is reflected in initiatives such as our participation, for the past three years, in the Cala Ratjada Llampuga Festival.

This fair, held every October, showcases the llampuga, a fish highly prized in Mallorcan cuisine, with recipes that combine the best of the land and sea. It's a festive gathering where locals and visitors enjoy culture and traditional cuisine.

TRADITIONS

We like our guests to experience the local culture up close. That's why we organize activities and experiences within the hotel. Last year, we held a traditional market where our guests were able to discover firsthand:

La llata: a traditional art of braiding palm leaves to create baskets, hats, or utensils.

Herbal liqueur: a typical Mallorcan liqueur made with anise and a mixture of local aromatic herbs.

The ball de bot: a popular Mallorcan dance performed at festivals and celebrations, accompanied by traditional music.

The siurell is a clay figurine with an attached whistle, characteristic of Mallorcan pottery.

We also regularly hold llata demonstrations at the hotel, bringing these customs to our visitors and creating authentic and unique memories.

Every year, the Mallorca Walking Event is held, an international gathering that brings together nature lovers to explore different trails on the island.
